Heritage Matters is the print magazine for and about New Zealanders restoring, preserving and enjoying our heritage and is published by Top View Media Limited, a privately owned company.
Heritage Matters magazine has delighted readers interested in New Zealand history and heritage since 2005, when Erika launched the magazine from her home in Rangiora, North Canterbury.
In August 2008 Erika and her husband moved to Waimauku, west of Auckland. Although she is now a “Westie”, Heritage Matters continues to be “a good read” with a wide range of heritage subjects from around New Zealand.
If you are interested in things historical, Heritage Matters will bring a varied and wide selection of heritage articles four times a year – summer, autumn, winter and spring.
Erika Currie is editor, publisher and managing director. Recognising the need for a quality, readily available magazine for New Zealanders and about New Zealanders involved with preserving, restoring or showcasing our unique past, she invented, formulated and implemented the concept for a new publication that’s become a firm favourite with readers. Heritage Matters is about “hands-on, heritage now”, designed to entertain and inform while showing how the nation got to where it is today.
Erika attends many vintage and heritage events, often dressed in costume. So don’t be shy, dress up in vintage fashion and join her – it’s fun and adds to the heritage experience and atmosphere.
Erika is also available as guest speaker for club meetings, AGMs etc in the Auckland area. Please phone her on 09 411 9331 or 027 434 5946, or email her at editor@heritagematters.co.nz to find out more.
